There comes times in our life when our ability to cope exceeds our resources. Some of these times, while difficult, create a beautiful opportunity for us to grow and change. It is possible to learn that we do not have to be the sum of our experiences but that we can define for ourselves who we are and where we want to be in our relationships with others and most importantly ourselves.
My goal is to help you see yourself as someone with strength, who has the ability to make choices and to love yourself so that you can create more positive relationships with others around you. Whether your goal is individual, couple or family support you can create change and you are the expert in your own life. My role is to be here to remind you that you are worthy and to help you develop tools and strategies through a meanful therapeutic relationship. If you allow yourself to move beyond your pain, stress, memories or whatever it is that brings you here, it just might be the beginning of a new connection to your life. I want to hear where you have been, where you are now and where you want to be in your life
Our experiences are what we choose to take from them, and while many are hard to deal with on our own, a non-judgemental ear may be just what you need. A good therapist will not give you advice but will try to help you reach your goal by helping you explore and get to know yourself. Learn to love yourself and see how different things can be. Learn to have empathy and you will see changes in those around you because you have changed.
"Comparanoia". Described as poison for our own sense of self-worth and confidence. It's based on a notion that we compare ourselves to others and become convinced that we are lacking in some way, that we don't measure up.
